Open House
July 10, 2012
The Clayton State University School of Graduate Studies will be holding its next informational Open House on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in room 101 in the University’s Harry S. Downs Continuing Education Center. You are not required to register for this event.
The Open House will give prospective graduate students a chance to learn more about the Master of Arts in Liberal Studies (concentrations in English, History, Political Science and Liberal Arts), Master of Arts in Teaching English, Master of Arts in Teaching Mathematics, Master of Business Administration, Master of Health Administration, Master of Science in Nursing, Master of Archival Studies and Master of Science in Psychology (concentrations in Applied Developmental and Clinical).

Master of Arts In Liberal Studies
Melvin A. Cody: The graduate degree program at Clayton State University has been a very challenging yet rewarding experience. The curriculum has helped to broaden my worldview and I have gained much knowledge of the world around me.
Nathan Michael Pope: The transdisciplinary nature of the Liberal Studies Program provided opportunities to make connections between concepts, movements and areas of knowledge. I enjoyed studying and learning theories that weren't confined to one discipline.
Allison Lauren Screws: I would like to thank both my parents, grandparents and fiancee for their constant support and love. Special thanks to my father, Dr. Gail and my fiancée for tirelessly help editing. I love you all.
Master of Arts in Teaching English
Matthew James Bland: My education at Clayton State and the Teacher Education Department has prepared me for the challenges I will face in my field. I am grateful to my professors for their understanding, patience, and high expectations.

Candace Carroll Basu: My experiences at Clayton State University have meant a great deal to me. I'm thankful for the challenges and opportunities I've been given, and for the wonderful support and encouragement I've received from the faculty.
Shaneeka LaChael Favors: The Master of Arts in Teaching Mathematics Program at Clayton State University has provided me with the necessary knowledge needed to bridge my intellectual ability with taking the necessary actions to become a scholarly leader in mathematics education.
Sulaiman Jabril Willis: Becoming a graduate student here at Clayton State was one of the most important decisions that I have made in my life. It seems as if the MAT Mathematics program was set up just for people like me. I earned a Bachelor's degree in business administration from Morehouse College and I taught middle school mathematics for four years on a provisional certificate. I needed to enroll in a program that would allow me to earn a master's degree and a clear renewable teaching certificate simultaneously. Clayton State University's MAT Mathematics program did just that. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the professors are very supportive of your needs. I highly recommend Clayton State University to anyone in a similar situation as mine.
Master of Health Administration
Benita Krystle Mboh Dumolga: Welcoming diversity, challenging education, excellent professors, are just a few of the words I would use to describe my experience here at Clayton State University and in the MHA program. To me, earning my degree from this institution makes me a part of one of the best kept secrets of the south in the nation and I will be forever proud to be an alumnus of Clayton State University.
Nakema Roshanda Laye Glanton: The MHA program allowed me to explore many different career options and helped me discover the area of healthcare that I am most passionate about. I now feel equipped to be a successful healthcare leader.
Jamie Paulette Jones: Obtaining a Masters in Healthcare Administration has expanded both my knowledge and passion for the healthcare field. I am confident that this program has fully prepared and equipped me with the tools to make a sincere difference in the quality of healthcare.
